NEWS CENTER - The European Parliament plenary will listen to the Council and Commission officials from other bodies of the EU to reach a common position.
Federica Mogherini, Vice-President of the European Union Commission and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, will inform the EU general assembly about the measures and sanctions decisions against the Turkish state tomorrow morning.
It is learned that all political parties within the European Parliament have already met to agree on a common text.
During the three-hour debate scheduled on Wednesday morning, the European Parliament plenary will listen to the Council and Commission officials from other bodies of the EU to reach a common position.
According to information from European Parliament lobbyists, the decision should enclose the following items: "The Erdogan regime's attempt to place refugees in Rojava is in breach of the Geneva Convention on Refugees; economic and commercial sanctions, particularly in arms sales; the immediate suspension of the Turkish state's attacks on Syrian territory and the withdrawal of all international forces; declaration of a no-fly zone in Rojava, Democratic Syrian Forces, Kurds, Assyrians taking part in negotiations."
The decision is expected to be voted on Thursday.
